Bill Amount ($): This is the total bill amount you’re supposed to pay to the vendor. Includes all kinds of taxes and other charges, if any. This is the base value used to calculate the tip.
Tip Percent (%): The percentage of tip you’ll pay on the bill amount.
Tip: The actual tip amount in dollars.
Total amount: The final total amount you’ll pay to the vendor, including tip.
The formula to calculate a tip is: bill amount x (tip percentage / 100)
Tip = $85.50 x (20 / 100) = $17.10
Total amount = bill amount + tip
Total amount = $85.50 + $17.10 = $102.60
